General Manager - Packaging Equipment Manufacturing

Leading provider of Food and Beverage Equipment has immediate need for an General Manager for their Minnesota production facility.

In this role, you will oversee all facets of the manufacturing process. The General Manager will work with engineers, fabricators, purchasing and sales agents and support staff, to create outstanding equipment on schedule and on budget.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage plant day-to-day operations, with the focus on ensuring each department is working collaboratively and responsively..
• Assume ownership and control of the production schedule, monitoring each job as it moves through engineering, procurement of materials, manufacturing, testing, and delivery, while providing guidance and direction as needed.
• Assessing accountability for the performance of all departments, setting measurable goals and expectations for production, and quality matrices.
• Scheduling and oversight of off-site installation and repair work.
• Conduct post-delivery review of completed projects. Coordinate production needs with other company locations.

Qualifications:

• Background in Machinery Manufacturing: 5+ years’ experience
• B.S degree - or equivalent work experience. Operations management or Production management degree is a plus
• Candidates with a strong leadership/management style which recognizes and resolves personnel or production challenges immediately and effectively.
• Those who can focus on and triage the competing needs of multiple areas in consideration of production deadlines.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret bills of material, engineering drawings, invoices, bills of lading, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Experienced in interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees
• Experience with conveyors, stainless-steel packaging equipment, palletizing equipment and sanitary design practices, is a plus.

Compensation:

• Competitive salary, $100,000-$120,000 Based on experience
